Members of the Tri-Valley Anti-Poverty Collaborative in partnership with Las Positas College provided resources and education to Marilyn Ave Elementary School Families at an event called “Celebrating Family Wellness and Prosperity” on May 26th, 2017. Child Care Links contributed pre-literacy materials, resources on child care in the Tri-Valley, and diapers. Marilyn Ave Elementary School and Las Positas College conducted workshops on adult education and job training. The Alameda County Community Food Bank provided resources on nutrition and food. Axis Community Health provided information on staying healthy and safe in the summer. The event is scheduled to occur again in the fall.
